Our Xth anniversary edition ‘Centuries of TeXT’ is the result of the hard work of an incredible group of people. Throughout our academic year and beyond, this year's board has worked extremely hard to put this year’s edition together. We would first like to express our gratitude to the Leiden University Library, who has kindly sponsored this edition. Without their support, this edition would not have been realised. A special thanks also needs to be expressed to Dr. Fleur Praal, who has coached the board through the entire process. Her dedication, knowledge and assistance has been of immeasurable value to us. Additionally, we would like to thank Prof. Dr. Adriaan van der Weel, Dr. Peter Verhaar, and Mr. Garrelt Verhoeven who have supported us and our goals for this edition on several occasions. Without Prof. Dr. van der Weel, our beautifully printed dust covers would not have been possible. Dr. Verhaar provided us with ways to create a digital version of not only the Xth edition of TXT, but all the previous editions as well. Furthermore, Dr. Verhoeven provided wonderful suggestions which have aided in our process and brought some inspiration to further bring this edition to life, one of which was the guidance of Sander Pinkse. Mr. Pinkse aided us in the process of designing and printing the edition, offering us advice and assistance where needed in the creative process of publishing the magazine.

It is not only within a professional network that we have received incredible support, but also from within our own cohort. A special appreciation needs to be given to Ingrid Asphaug, whose wisdom and subtle support throughout all the different stages of production have been tremendous. Additionally, we must thank previous TXT board members, board members from this year who started this journey with us but were unable to continue, as well as our personal circle of friends and family who have supported us greatly in moments of stress, frustration, and shared in our euphoria when all the pieces finally fell into place.

Most importantly, however, we would like to thank all the contributors of this Xth edition. The creative minds of Yara Cloudt, Frank Volmerink, Dr. Steven Claeyssens, Rahel Wirz, Miguel Mira, Dr. Garrelt Verhoeven, and Dr. Kasper van Ommen, have created beautiful new insights into the world of texts. The insightful visions of our academic contributors Erik-Jan Dros, Ellen Barth, Christine Stein Hededam, Dr. Peter Verhaar, Aline Franzus, Nitzan Shalev, Elena Hoch, Dr. Marco Mostert, and Dr. Irene O’Daly have provided us with a well-rounded representation of the history, meaning, and implications of texts.

An immense thank you to all the people mentioned above, and last but not least to the board members of this year 2022-2023, as well as to all the readers. We sincerely hope you enjoy the Xth anniversary edition of TXT Magazine.
